Welcome to Kukhulu 4x4 Adventures. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the purchase of any products from our online store. By accessing or using our website, purchasing products or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General provisions

  • Company details: Kukhulu 4x4 Adventures operates this online store specialising in 4x4 accessories, camping gear and outdoor adventure equipment.
  • Eligibility: By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province or country of residence.
  • Modifications: We may update, change or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically.

2. Products and pricing

  • Product accuracy: We make every effort to display colours, specifications and details accurately. We cannot guarantee that your device's display reflects actual product colours or details.
  • Pricing & availability: All prices are in South African Rand and subject to change without notice. We may modify or discontinue any product at any time. Applicable VAT is shown at checkout.
  • Errors: Where a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to a typographical error, we may cancel or refuse any orders placed for that product.

3. Orders and payments

  • Order acceptance: Receipt of an order confirmation does not signify acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to accept or decline an order for any reason.
  • Payment methods: We accept credit cards, debit cards and the authorised third-party payment gateways displayed at checkout. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information.
  • Order cancellation: Orders may only be cancelled prior to shipment. Once an item has been dispatched, our Return & Refund Policy applies.

4. Shipping and delivery

  • Fulfilment: Shipping times and costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight and dimensions. Some items ship directly from the supplier.
  • Delivery risk: Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the items to the shipping carrier.
  • Import fees & customs: For international orders you are responsible for any customs duties, taxes or import fees levied by the destination country.

5. Vehicle fitment, installation and safety disclaimer

  • Compatibility: It is your sole responsibility to ensure that any accessory, recovery equipment or vehicle modification purchased is compatible with your specific vehicle make, model and year.
  • Professional installation: Many 4x4 accessories require specialised knowledge or tools to install safely. We strongly recommend professional installation by a certified technician. Kukhulu 4x4 Adventures is not liable for damage caused by improper installation or misuse.
  • Off-road equipment warning: Off-road driving and the use of recovery gear carry inherent risks of injury, property damage or death. You assume all risk and liability associated with the use, installation and operation of products purchased from our store.

6. Returns, refunds and warranties

  • Return policy: Unused items in their original packaging may be returned within 14 days of receipt for store credit, subject to our Return & Refund Policy. Kukhulu 4x4 Adventures operates a credit-only policy. Return shipping fees are the customer's responsibility unless the product is defective.
  • Manufacturer warranties: Certain products are covered by manufacturer warranties. We assist customers with warranty claims where applicable, but warranty decisions ultimately rest with the manufacturer.

7. Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kukhulu 4x4 Adventures, its directors, employees or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages resulting from: the use or inability to use our products or website; property damage or personal injury resulting from off-road activities or product usage; or unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.

  • All content on this website — including logos, product descriptions, images, graphics and code — is the property of Kukhulu 4x4 Adventures or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify any content without prior written permission.

9. Governing law

  • These Terms and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
